Accreditations

While universities pride themselves on providing students with challenging and excellent long-term programs enriched with many academic credits, some unrelated to the major students pursue and the needs of industry, vocational colleges like ITD Canada have a different mandate.

ITD Canada is a vocational post-secondary education institution, and its top priority is to train individuals for the current job market and its demands. In other words, universities offer degree programs that are largely theoretical and academic, while ITD Canada offers short-term diploma programs that are to the point and equip students with the actual skills employers need in the relevant industry. Many ITD Canada students are degree holders who spent a few years in university but need to acquire skills to get a job. Since our highest priority is to prepare our students for jobs in the real world, we are committed to providing the highest quality training. Our Diplomas and courses are all accredited and recognized by provincial and professional associations, ensuring our alumni receive Canadian and international recognition.

Private Training Institution Branch

In British Columbia, the Private Training Institution Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) is responsible for establishing standards of educational and operational quality that institutions seeking to achieve or maintain certification must meet.

These standards are set by the Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills, and PTIRU is a regulatory body that monitors non-degree-granting post-secondary institutions like ITD Canada.

ITD Canada is certified by PTIRU and undergoes recertification every year. We've been certified, formerly known as accredited, since 2005. Pictures of our latest certificates for both of our campuses are shown below.
