PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

This course introduces common hazards in the workplace like work at height, electricity and so on and their related controls.

CAREER OCCUPATION

• This is a single course and by itself does not lead to any career path

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 graduate or mature student status (British Columbia 19 years or older)
• Meet minimum English language proficiency requirements.

Upon completion of this program the successful student will have reliably demonstrated the ability to

  • Identify work at height hazards and controls
  • Identify electricity hazards and controls
  • Identify machinery hazards and controls
  • Identify traffic hazards and controls
  • Describe 5S elements and how to implement

Assessment will consist of quizzes, exams, and assignments.

Students must pass the course with at least 60%.
