This course is a comprehensive guide for learning DirectX graphics programming while allowing students to start with the basics and ease their way into graphics and animation. OpenGL and Direct 3D are the most used GUI environment that game programs are based on. This course is teaching direct 3D in detail and it is the prerequisite for a lot of following courses in the program.
This is a single course and by itself does not lead to any career path
- Grade 12 graduate or mature student status (British Columbia 19 years or older)
- Meet minimum English language proficiency requirements.
Upon completion of this program the successful student will have reliably demonstrated the ability to
- Understand and apply DirectX programming conventions
- Understand 3d fundamentals, Texture mapping
- Create Multiple textures
- Create MD3 files
Assessment will consist of quizzes, exams, and assignments.
Students must pass the course with at least 60%.
