This course provides effective techniques to prevent problems related to the service of liquor.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12 graduate or mature student status (British Columbia 19 years or older)
• Meet minimum English language proficiency requirements.

  • To recognize intoxication and the over-consumption of alcohol.
  • Understand the effects of alcohol in combination with drugs.
  • Determine what is blood alcohol concentration and the standard drink.
  • Understand their obligation under the law related to the sale and service of alcohol and the consequences of failing to meet those obligations.
  • How to ID minors to prevent underage drinking.
  • How to use an incident log.
