PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
This course provides effective techniques to prevent problems related to the service of liquor.
CAREER OCCUPATION
• This is a single course and by itself does not lead to any career path
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12 graduate or mature student status (British Columbia 19 years or older)
• Meet minimum English language proficiency requirements.
- To recognize intoxication and the over-consumption of alcohol.
- Understand the effects of alcohol in combination with drugs.
- Determine what is blood alcohol concentration and the standard drink.
- Understand their obligation under the law related to the sale and service of alcohol and the consequences of failing to meet those obligations.
- How to ID minors to prevent underage drinking.
- How to use an incident log.
