This course will be into the basics, and some simple design jobs, to get the students up to speed on shop safety, and the use of the shop facilities and an overview of the tools that will be used in the studio over the length of the course
This is a single course and by itself does not lead to any career path
- Grade 12 graduate or mature student status (British Columbia 19 years or older)
- Meet minimum English language proficiency requirements.
Upon completion of this program the successful student will have reliably demonstrated the ability to
- Have a good understanding of safety in a jewelry studio workshop, have a basic understanding of the construction methods of jewelry making.
Assessment will consist of quizzes, exams, and assignments.
Students must pass the course with at least 60%.
